A CF Patients Daily Life
Living with CF isn't easy. It is especially difficult for teenagers. Teens are already dealing with the task of growing up, and dealing with CF on top of that is a lot to handle. Also, physical changes during puberty can make CF harder to control.

Fitting In
CF makes teens really different. They usually cough a lot. They also have trouble gaining weight, and are smaller and thinner than average. They need to take a lot of medicine and use inhalors. They usually need terapy every day. They sometimes are in the hospital to get treatments. They may miss a lot of school.

Shorter Life Span
In 1955, people with CF did not usually live past 5. Since the 90's, most people with CF live about 30 years. Some now live to their 40s and 50s.
